At the DF forum it seems to be hard to get such a simple answer so I am asking the GOG community because I know how helpful they are :)

I know that the min. requirements are 4GB of RAM but is it enough if I have 4GB of RAM installed or do I need to have 4GB of RAM free available (which means I'd need more than 4GB of RAM installed because the OS needs some memory too)? Has somebody run this game who has only 4GB installed? I don't want to buy the game if I cannot run it.

A minimum system requirement of 4G RAM always means 4G installed in your system. So if you have 4G installed you meet the minimum required.

I have 8G, so the second question I cannot answer. However if we assume the minimum RAM required is playable you should be good RAM wise.

I have 4 GB installed, of which my 32 bit Win 7 can use 3.25 GB; Grim Fandango uses about 300 MB when it is started, no idea how much it is after several hours of playing, but surely nowhere near 4 GB. Cheers.

Besides, doesnt GoG have a 30 day money back guarantee? So if you cannot run it you can always just get the refund.
