Hi.

Don't know if other's are having this issue, but when I start up the game, the sound stutters a lot in the cutscenes. When the game itself is running, nothing is wrong. Sound is crystal clear.

If I quit the game, and manually, open the *.ogv movie files in VLC player, they run great with no sound stuttering.

Saw and earlier post on this site, where someone metioned updating Java to fix the issue. It did not help fro me.

I run Windows 8.1 64-bit, and have updated my Graphics Card to newest driver.

Does anyone have any ideas for me?

There seems to be a new patch for the game (version 1.2.2). It's probably out for Steam but not yet for GOG (is should arrive in a few days time though). Among the rest of the fixes they mention a fix for the stuttering. It may fix your problem.

Release 4 - v1.2.2

This update fixes the following issues:

- Fix for FMV stuttering on some machines.

Cool...Then I'll wait and see
I solved this by installing VLC media player AND make it default for ogv files:

After install of VLC: go to a ogv file in your file-explorer (mine is Thunar) (they are in /game/bin/MoviesHD folder)
And make VLC the default player to open ogv files.
(In Thunar right-click - open with other application - VLC (and check the box for default).
---> Works similar in other File Explorers I think.
