Online walkthroughs tell me Nick leaves after you try to employ him and you threaten him with exposure of his affair with Olivia.
Problem is, I threatened him earlier in the game, with no consequences. Terry's in jail now, and Nick keeps blowing me off. The dialogue about him and Olivia is gone. He won't leave. There doesn't seem to be any other way of acquiring the cigarette case.
Am I missing something, or is it impossible to progress from this point?
If not, does anyone have any save files from around this point in the game? Would be a bummer to have to start over.
