ive done lots of reading and this seems to be a common problem on steam, but cant find much on gog. The game wont save any progress ive made. Ill do more digging but in the meantime if anyone can lend a hand.....
And before anyone sais to turn off cloud saves, its done.
and Bitdefender is also turned off
also uninstalled and re-installed.... same problem

It didnt matter if my computer was online or offline. It didnt matter that bitdefender was turned off even. BD have to grant permission to Fallout4 (and grim dawn) to save.

open BD. click on view features. click on application access (bottom right). click away
