Considering that I am running the game on a quad core 1.9Ghz machine with 4GB of RAM I find this game to be so slow and unresponsive it is no different than trying to run Unreal Tournament on a 486. But in the case of the latter, a 486 would be definately too slow to keep up with UT.

I am also having difficulies in running Dungeon Keeper one on the same machine using DOSbox which no doubtt is not emulating the DOS enviroonment but uses the virtual features of the Intel processor. DK is very choppy when playing on this PC when the game was designed to work in the 90's on machines that were very low specified but yet were perfectly able to play it.

See if anything here helps.

You dont post stats of your GPU and CPU, so I think you are way below the minimum requirements. Even a Celeron N has the 1,9GHz or more and is slow compared to Intel Core processors. And without a dedicated NVIdia or AMD Videocard, it will not be fun, too.
This is rather a disapointing customer, who doesn't read:
" minimum: x86 compatible 2.3GHz or faster (Intel 2nd generation core i-series or equivalent) "

So much wrongs here, starting with specs, like a quad from 8th gen intel it is equal with Athlon II X4, just because they have same number of cores(or frequency), up to the end where an old software must work better on new pc, because more muscle in the new one...
So sorry bud. >>>> Sounds like your machine is dung (poo).

Hi. Try lowering the shadows and textures settings to the lowest setting and then try it. Those two are the heaviest settings on most games. Also turn off antialiasing and any other graphic filtering, and If that doesnt work lower the other graphic settings. The game wont look amazing but you will probably be able to run it. Good luck.
