Actually it's fine for me now after some patch. But still one of the solutions is to delete gog galaxy, that helped me that time. If this won't improve performance - probably you have problem of different kind.
Shortly after I posted, I tried a few different things. What finally ended up working was disabling the GOG in-game overlay. Didn't have to completely delete Galaxy. That did the trick. Works perfectly now.
