Today the shared stash at the smuggler was gone. I used that for blue items and for components. I had 3 stash slots:
1 - components
2 - blue weapons (just 1 item - no doubles)
3 - blue armor (just 1 item)

I have problems with my provider and my disk was near capacity.
Provider reduced from 400 MB/sec to about 100 MB/sec.

I deleted the installation and reinstalled - no change.
I started GD on a different PC - no change.

I assume the sync-option made an overwrite of the cloud version. Thus I fear I may have lost my saved stash.

I have another PC with the game installed, but I have not started it yet. I assume that an elder version of my stash is still saved on that PC and I might be able to restore that old version if I act carefully.
IF I switch off sync. Start that PC with the old stash. Get out and then sync that version after exit. That should do it.

Nevertheless, before I try this last option, I'd like to verify my thoughts and / or solutions.

I reflected on what happened.

I had some problems with my provider. I assume either the bandwith was not sufficient or the connection timed out WHILE the cloud saving was done. Another assumption is that the save files are multiple files. Thus any interruption might destroy the backups.

Thus although backups are a nice idea, it won't work for everybody.

Regarding this thoughts I switched off cloud saving.
