I apologize if it may seem obvious, but being fairly new to GOG.com, I wanted to make sure I understand the patch-numbering system within GOG.com.

Using Grim Dawn as an example, since an update just became available...

Game Downloads:
1) Grım Dawn (Part 1 of 2) --- 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 2 (GOG-14)
2) Grım Dawn (Part 2 of 2) --- 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 2 (GOG-14)

3) Patch 1.0.0.5 --- 1.0.0.4 (GOG-11) -> 1.0.0.5 (GOG-12)
4) Patch 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 1 --- 1.0.0.5 (GOG-12) -> 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 1 (GOG-13)
5) Patch 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 2 --- 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 1 (GOG-13) -> 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 2 (GOG-14)

DLC Downloads:
6) Crucible --- 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 1 (GOG-2)

So the versions in parenthesis are the GOG-versions, I understand, so if I wanted to install a fresh copy of Grim Dawn, I would need to be up to GOG-14, so by downloading and installing numbers 1) and 2) would get me to the latest version?

And if I was simply updating my current game installed I would install patches 3), 4) and 5) to get to GOG-14?

But where I get confused is with Crucible, is it just a completely different setup being that it's an 'extra' DLC content, but why is the version for Crucible numbered 1.0.0.5? And to make matters more confusing why is it Hotfix 1?

I don't recall seeing patching version numbering systems quite like this :(

I'm guessing I just make sure Grim Dawn is up to GOG-14 which is 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 2, then to add Crucible content, I apply the 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 1 patch?

Thanks for any assistance - I'm sure the installer would let me know if I was applying the wrong patch, but the numbering systems seems, well, interesting... ;)

The GOG-2 version of Crucible was the latest update to it when you posted (there is a newer version now though). It is a bit unintuitive numbering them differently. I wish the download page included dates so we could tell when that particular version came out.

I have a related question, is there anyway to tell which version we currently have installed? On the Grim Dawn main menu it just says 1.0.0.5. I'm sure I applied hotfix 1 but didn't think I'd applied hotfix 2. Tried installing that and it says it's not for this version of the game. I checked the version number of the grimdawn.exe file but it's something like 0.3.0.0 so that's no help :(

So how do you tell if you have 1.0.0.5 or 1.0.0.5 HF1, 1.0.0.5 HF2 installed?
UGH! This is still driving me crazy. The game is telling me I'm on 1.0.0.5 in the bottom right corner of the main screen. Not sure which hotfix, though I thought it was patched higher than 1.0.0.5.

I've got the various grim dawn patch files 2.9.0.14 through to 2.15.0.20 and none of them work. They all tell me it's the wrong version.

I've got Crucible installed (not sure what version, or how to find out) and the 1.0.0.6 (GOG-3) update won't work on it either. Again it's telling me I'm trying to upgrade from the wrong version.

So how the heck do I patch the game? I don't want to download the 2.8GB 1.0.0.7 full installer. So what else can I do? Was there a hotfix I'm missing before 2.9.0.14?
