I apologize if it may seem obvious, but being fairly new to GOG.com, I wanted to make sure I understand the patch-numbering system within GOG.com.
Using Grim Dawn as an example, since an update just became available...
Game Downloads:
1) Grım Dawn (Part 1 of 2) --- 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 2 (GOG-14)
2) Grım Dawn (Part 2 of 2) --- 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 2 (GOG-14)
3) Patch 1.0.0.5 --- 1.0.0.4 (GOG-11) -> 1.0.0.5 (GOG-12)
4) Patch 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 1 --- 1.0.0.5 (GOG-12) -> 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 1 (GOG-13)
5) Patch 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 2 --- 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 1 (GOG-13) -> 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 2 (GOG-14)
DLC Downloads:
6) Crucible --- 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 1 (GOG-2)
So the versions in parenthesis are the GOG-versions, I understand, so if I wanted to install a fresh copy of Grim Dawn, I would need to be up to GOG-14, so by downloading and installing numbers 1) and 2) would get me to the latest version?
And if I was simply updating my current game installed I would install patches 3), 4) and 5) to get to GOG-14?
But where I get confused is with Crucible, is it just a completely different setup being that it's an 'extra' DLC content, but why is the version for Crucible numbered 1.0.0.5? And to make matters more confusing why is it Hotfix 1?
I don't recall seeing patching version numbering systems quite like this :(
I'm guessing I just make sure Grim Dawn is up to GOG-14 which is 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 2, then to add Crucible content, I apply the 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 1 patch?
Thanks for any assistance - I'm sure the installer would let me know if I was applying the wrong patch, but the numbering systems seems, well, interesting... ;)
