I went out to play it in a net cafe and i was amazed! It reeks of talent and high quality; potential, as well! I can't wait to buy it. This is the best diablo clone in existence!
I wholeheartedly agree, this is definitely one of the best games I played in recent times. Unfortunately, it slows my PC down to a crawl, but hopefully that'll be fixed when I get a new computer next month.

I would steer away from the "Diablo-clone" pigeonholing, but, then again, that's probably just me; I think ARPGs should be praised on their own merits, now how well they compare to Diablo. I think both Grim Dawn and Victor Vran do enough different things to be different than the Diablo games. I understand how most people don't call them Diablo-clones in a derogatory fashion, but, like I said, it's just a minor pet peeve that really annoys me, nothing against you guys using the term.

Happy gaming! As soon as you get the game, hit me up for some coop! :P

You are completely correct there, my friend! It is an insult for games such as Grim Dawn and Victor Vran to be compared with Diablos, especially since Diablo 3 was such a major clusterfuck and letdown. I consider both these games far superior than Diablo 3, i simply use the term "Diablo Clone" as a short sentence to just communicate with other gamers, nothing more. Personally, Grim Dawn feels like the REAL diablo 3 or what it should had been and i am very happy that it came to be! A very kind and generous soul gifted it to me some time ago, but i play really casually and at a slow pace, am level 23 just finished act 1!

Thanks a lot for the invitation but i first have to learn the game and its mechanisms well, i even have a hardcore character and i want to "study" it quite extensively... Have lots of work to do on it, am just in the beginning! But i will hit you up when i get some good experience, it's a promise!

Meh`
Diablo II is still my favourite; if it had better graphics than it does i'd be playing it now still instead of grim dawn and i'm only playing grim dawn because D2's graphics are THAT BAD.

Diablo 2 is still my favorite. I play Golden Dawn because it is similar to it and because Golden Dawn is and feels more "diablo" that Diablo 3 actually is...
I just purchased this game this morning and so far am having a blast. No regrets on this purchase at all.

I was a big fan of Diablo 2 and Titan Quest (can really feel the Titan Quest in this game) , Path of Exile... even the Sacred 1 and 2 games. I'd have to put this near the top of that list, after playing more it may even rise to the very top. I played Diablo 3 also for a season and got bored quickly and did not find the classes or the skills too entertaining. This game I can tell has loads more depth as far as tweaking your character than Diablo 3 for sure. Also, the skills seem to be cooler in this game and the classes more fun. It really feels like a nice blend of Titan Quest and Path of Exile with maybe even a hint of Hellgate London.

I just love all the blood, gore and creepiness too that this game has. Not just from killing things, but also all of the nice decorations and props within the levels. Really sets a great mood for this kind of game. :) Reminds me a little bit of Revenant from a long time ago. Remember that big rotting fish on the beach? That's like something you'd find in this game too. lol
The monsters I've encountered so far have been good lookin' monsters too.

The music and sound effects are all nice too and go along great with the visuals.
Really just a great looking and sounding game. That also plays really well. Everything just feels done right.

Great game, devs! :)

Edit. So after sinking over a couple of hundred hours into it, I have to say good bye. Unfortunately there is a loading stutter or something that is persistent for me every 20 or 30 seconds, or every couple of screens worth of time that I get and it's too much of a stresser to keep enjoying it. Maybe one day they will fix the engine. :(
I could also never get the multiplayer to work either. The game really showed a lot of potential when I first started playing it that first day. But little things started to bother me performance wise after the second day.. I just couldn't keep playing it like that. Other than that, the game was fun and some of the classes and builds were fun, but my ocd just won't let me play a stuttering game like that.
