Anyone else having this issue? The game runs fine just otherwise but trying to start it through Galaxy does nothing.

You may want to file a bug report on our bugtracker: http://mantis.gog.com/ as we've tested the game with and without Galaxy. Please be sure include your logs as well :)
They need to get rid of Galaxy altogether, it won't let you even go online with it unless you have a promotional code.

Which is a pure DRM.

GOG has had a long standing policy that it doesn't consider CD-Keys as DRM, unless online activation is required for non-online play. The fact of the matter is that you can uninstall and reinstall over and over and over again and still use your same key for multiplayer. You also don't need Galaxy for LAN play, nor do you need to activate online for it either, so you really have the full package of features, realistically DRM-Free.

Mine keeps wanting me to connect on Galaxy, but i'm logged into Galaxy and had started the game 'from' Galaxy.
There's no button to push and my connection has not dropped so it's just freakin pissing me off.

Why do i even need Galaxy to simply list available servers people are hosting (& hence not GOG) anyways; isn't Galaxy suppose to be optional?!?
I decided to install GOG yesterday since I was having achievements spammed whenever i entered the game, and i don't have the problems you describe, OP.

I started the game logged in just fine and the achievement problem stopped. Then i went into offline mode restarting Galaxy and the game launched perfectly. It doesn't ask me to enter online mode. Also later i launched the game from the folder i installed it prior to Galaxy and no problem either.

I don't know about the promotional code issue, but it's starting to worry me... :S I don't want DRM in my games, thank you very much!
Yup just how they messed up the launch of one of the most premier multiplayer titles for Galaxy and the DRM Free platform in general.
Make a server list require specific activation (because lets face it the actual game inclusive of it's LAN interconnect does not need this in any way; only accessing the online server list).

Arguably Crate should of had their own built in server listing system instead of having it hobbled to each distributor thus creating an artificial barrier to cross play.

It's funny actually i have the game installed through GOG Galaxy, yet it's failing it's auto updating because of configuration problems which amount to it's being installed to it's set location (checked) and it's allowing auto updating (checked) ;P; ergo no visible problems other then it being a bitch.
Going to reinstall from scratch (backed up saves) update the fresh copy and if it still has problems after a reset probably do some more power whining to support about how shit their system is if it's essentially handling the entire situation itself and yet still failing.

Oh yeah and thanx for no support on my Vista machine you asses, glad I have at least a second pc with win 7 so I can even play online multiplayer at all.
The amount of differences between vista and 7 as compared to 7 and for example 10 really makes one wonder what lazy goits you guys are.
Oh and while I'm ranting, no dual instancing of the launcher GFY's.
