It seems to me like the manual patches in the game's profile do not patch the expansions but only the base game.
If this is common then fine but in case somebody encounters a problem with missing Forgotten Gods quest like I just did.

I could not get the Paying Debts quest and it turned out I was probably playing the 1.1.6.2 version of the base game but with outdated AoM and FG. I do not know how that is possible.

Game version said 1.1.6.2 in the main menu but it was not the case for FG and perhaps AoM as well.

Yes, the Grim Dawn patches are incomplete. You need to download the full version and do a reinstall for every (minor) update.

Crate have been in touch with GOG about this, but seems they haven't bothered to fix it so far.

Honestly, the reason I could not find much info was probably because people use clients like Steam or Galaxy and get automatic updates. I just like the option to have stuff without a client so it surprised me that is how their patches work at least in this case.

At this point the game probably is not going to receive many updates quickly anymore and in the end I only really "missed" like all random monster totems on Normal, lmao.

Yeah, I went back to using Galaxy because I used to have very slow download speeds and updating Titan Quest used to take me an hour and a half every time it updated because they didn't do it as a patch. GD's better in that respect, but if GOG aren't getting the patches right it's not helping people who don't want Galaxy to update their games with.
