Hey, I've updated my grim dawn to 1.0.1.0 and now I cant change any settings (audio/video, etc) nor can I create any new characters or delete my character. I really want to play this game! I've never been able to get it to work bug free on my surface book.

Help?!

Win 10 may be blocking access to the save folder, did you get a pop up asking for permission for Grim Dawn to access you save folder?

If uyou are running somethng like bit defender as as well you will need to add Grim Dawn to the safe files for application

Same for me as well. Booted the computer, updated the game, and played several levels, before I noticed that the game didn't want to turn down the music volume. Back to menu, and all my progress was lost as well. I have Full ownership and access to my folders, but it just doesn't seem to to any good. Trying to delete and reinstall now.

edit: NVM. I noticed that it was my damn BitDefender which was blocking programs from writing to my Documents folder... You might want to check out your AV..

Also start the game with admin rights.

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ this is exactly the issue. I turned off bitdefender and it then allowed me full gane access.

It should be enough to turn off File Protection. Or give every program you want access through it once you start the application.
