Hi Ladies and Gentlemen

I have a big problem on my computer : one of my hard drive is dead (D:/), and the usual save folder location disappeared.

The true problem is : the game try to create new character in a folder who does not exist

I just can't create any new character or synchronized with the gog galaxy saves

So, it is possible to change the save file location ?
Unfortunately, I have not find anything in my researchs

Go to your GOG Galaxy settings and in Game Features turn off cloud saving. Also turn it off in GD's ingame Options menu if it appears there. You'll then be using local saves, not cloud saving.

Tried it but no changes

As I say, the local save folder was on a hard drive at this location (D:/username/documents/my games/grim dawn/saves).
But the HD D:/ is dead and the game try to reach a location save file who's not exist anymore

This is why I want to know if I can force the game to search the saves files elsewhere

I just see the game create a new save file in another location, there is the files of the character I'm trying to create.

So the game create a new save folder but don't use it

My guess is you need to create a new My Documents\My Games folder for the game to find and use. Also what is the path of the current save you found?

My "new" folder is in C:\My Games\Grim Dawn\save\main
And each time I launch the game, it creates a new folder IN the game folder where new characters goes

I take old saves and put them in C:\My Games\Grim Dawn\save\main
The game show the old characters only if I launch in 32 bit, and when i try to launch a game with old saves, it load 2 seconfs and come back to menu !

I think my old computer is too f*cked up xD

Back up the save folder and then delete it. Let the game make a new one and then copy/paste the characters from your backup folder into the new one.

Sounds like cloud saving may be switched on too if the game is saving them to a different location than that one.

My pc create a new folder EACH TIME the game is launch...

Thanks you for all your ideas, but I waste too many hours trying fix this save story for no result, besides, I must prepare many personal projects (relocation and others)

I play Grim Dawn once again when I'll have a new PC

I always copy my saved game files on my external HD, just for that reason.
