I can't create a character, even when i change some options they don't save.
Disabled cloud sync, still doesn't work... nothing so far i googled is working.

hohiro: Sounds like protected folders of your Antivirus Software. Set an eexception for Grimdawn.exe. It wants to save in a folder that is protected by the AV Software, Cloud Sync has nothing to do with it, as it just copies local saves to GOG cloud.
Necro but still needed to say. I have defender and turning off the folder protection fixed this. Game was bought a couple of days ago so this definitely fixed it for me. Thank you

Likewise. Had this problem of being unable to create a character. I was able to allow Grim Dawn access without completely disabling Folder Protection by finding the notification in the Windows notification panel and choosing "Allow access" for the one that came from Grim Dawn.exe

same problem, disable the defender completly, manually allow acsess to save folder, nothing works. also I cant change any settings they resets to default every time
