You were supposed to defeat them. Not join them.

Hi Captainchicken84.
I understand that you have enabled UPnP on the router/modem (on the settings available via the web portal provided by the manufacturer), your PC is using to access the Internet or your LAN.
You have also enabled UPnP in the game settings (While in the game menu->"Options"->"Network"-> tick "Enable UPnP")
-Although, in my knowledge, enabling UPnP using any of these methods, would only serve to resolve issues related with connectivity in LAN games, while either connecting multiple PCs via cable, wireless or creating a VLAN (using LAN simulation software) via the Internet.
Since you wish to join a game hosted by another user or host your own game via the Internet, it is important to make sure that the right "ports" are opened on your network (communication "holes" opened in your firewall), enabling the exchange of data between the PCs connected to a game server (the game does not have dedicated servers, but rather uses "Peer-to-Peer" connections, which allow remote PCs to exchange data directly between them).
-This can be done in a straightforward way by going to your
"Control Panel"->"System and Security" tab->"Windows Firewall" tab->
clicking on "Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall"->
clicking on the " Change settings" button->
finding "Grim Dawn" in the "Name" column->
ticking the box left of "Grim Dawn"->ticking the box in the "Public" column, left of "Grim Dawn"->
clicking "OK" at the bottom of the window.
If this is indeed the case, Grim Dawn should successfully connect to multiplayer games.
The latest hotfix released does resolve certain connectivity issues, so before all else, I recommend seeing if the update works the issue out for you.
Cheers.

Same problem here! I've found only one server I can connect to. With all the others I've tried it says "Can't connect.." Tried all the stuff already mentioned, deactivated firewalls and anti-virus and so on!
Using an AVM Fritz!Box 7560 with Win7.

Same here. I can't join multiplayer games online. I did play online a lot, but with the recent patches it is not a thing anymore.

Still nothing. So much for the "most responsive" developers.
