I purchased the DLC (if I know anything about Spiders RPGs it's that +1 stat gear is the bedrock of any full playthrough), but upon starting up the game I noticed I was missing only one of the items from the list: the Discoverer's Hat, one of the two pieces in the set that gives a stat bonus. Does it show up later in the intro or is this some kind of bug?
Edit: After some more digging, I finally chanced upon one post (but only one!) that asserted that while most of the set is in your inventory right from the start, the hat is earned a bit later.
