Some important NPCs are missing, for example the Astrologist and the Episkop (in front of the church). And before you ask - yes I was there on the correct day. It is also impossible to conduct services any more, the program always tells me that it will possible on the next "Sun" day - even if it is "Sun" day.

I've read about that bug, that sometimes restart and reload the game does the trick or to let one week in the game pass and thy will return - but nothing changed it.

Help anyone?

Thanks in advance
I have the same issue.

Maybe this might be relevant: I installed the game on an other PC and used the cloud save game.
Same issues here.
Someone on reddit mentioned it could be fixed through editing the save file, however the savefile implementation has changed since August.
Any other suggestions?
I have the same issue, no donkey showing up, no merchant and so on. on the other side, the Bishop is still standing in front of the church.
Same here. Inquisitor won't leave Witch Hill no matter what I did. Before this bug occurs I was exploring dungeon. Probably my char havn't sleep all day. Maybe this the reason?

Have someone resolved this bug yet?
So I also had this problem - specifically with the Bishop and not being able to hold services at the church, which left me "faith locked" and unable to progress. I didn't do anything specific to fix it. I did read in the forums and steam community that you can fix this by editing save files, but I didn't want to corrupt anything I had.

Instead, all I did was play through the game a few weeks and the game sort of "reset" itself. Also, I did read somewhere that progressing another NPC's quest (in my case, it was the astrologer) made the Bishop show back up and allowed me to continue to have services in the church.

So just to recap, things you can try are:
- Play through a full week+ and see if they show back up.
- Complete another NPC's quest (anyone, if you can find them).

And, I am not sure if it has ANY relevance (it really shouldn't) but you can try exiting your game client, exiting everything, rebooting, and re-launching, and then play through an entire week.

I wish I had a more definitive fix or explanation, but I can tell you that I definitely had the exact same symptoms, and they seemed to clear up on their own after doing one or all of the above steps.
Got a version of the problem, could you check if the portal thingie on witch hill have two days ligthing up? If it do, the game thinks its two days, and will only (temporary) "fix" itself after a ingame week passes, until it happends again.
I am having the same issue. I even deleted my 70 hour game file from pre 1.122 Breaking Dead hoping that would fix. It seemed to work - then it didn't. I've even tried being very careful not sleep if the cleric has not left the graveyard but the bug still happened so either the cleric got stuck elsewhere or other NPCs can trigger the bug.

I meditated for a week and that fixed it!

I hope the devs fix this pronto.
It happened in my game again - this time the Astrologer is staying at the lightouse each day. Meditating for a week is not working. I tried completing one of the astologers tasks and that is not working either.

Game is basically unplayable right now with this bug.
I just hit this as well. My Bishop is stuck inside the church, touching the southern exit, but never exiting and he just says "Not now, my son" when talking to him.

I'm 99% sure what caused this is I just got the first church size upgrade, he informed me that I need the Rightful Citizen Papers, which I already had stored just below the church. I took the back steps in the church to fetch said papers, came back, and the Bishop was no longer at the podium, nor was he outside (he may have been stuck near the door as described above, I didn't notice either way).

At first, the day cycle stopped advancing entirely, but I could still play normally(ish). I tried a save/reload cycle and that caused the day cycle to start advancing again, however, all of my cyclic NPCs were missing at this point, and no bodies were being delivered, etc. I played for awhile like this before realizing all the NPCs were gone and I eventually tried the meditation suggestion, which seems to have fixed things, as I just finally got another body delivered and the Bishop is no longer stuck in the church.
NPC the beekeeper is gone, i do the stranger sins DLC, and some week ago was the beekeeper gone, he is important in the history of the DLC, the mission is to buy expensive vases from him. what should I do to get the man back?
