Vatras doesn't want my stone tablets anymore. I gave him the first one, and he paid me. I came back with another one, and there was no option to show it to him.

Anyone else experience? Is this going to break any quests later in the game?

This happened to me in my last game. I have no idea why since I've never had a problem before and in my current game I have no problem. Possibly some dialog choice? Anyway, it didn't make any difference (outside of the obvious).

Are you sure you have the right sort of tablet? He only takes the generic ones and won't accept the ones you can read to raise your skills.

He takes old stone tablets. If it isn't the right type, he tells you it has a magical aura. The old stone ones have a rounded top, the others don't.

well poop. That's not what's going on. I have no dialog option to show it to him at all. Perhaps I should revise the topic to say "My Nameless Hero is a jerk and refuses to show Vatras his stone tablets."

OK, I'm assuming you tried every one of the dialogue choices (some things are tricky to make happen) - this is a long shot but try talking to Lares then Vatras again - something seems to be sticking in my crawl that I can't quite remember. The option should come up when you have either type of stone. I'm thinking the game may be waiting for a particular response sequence and will return to normal once that is fulfilled.

Problem solved! It turns out that--for me--the dialog option ONLY comes up when I have the OLD stone tablets. I found another one, and had no trouble giving it to Vatras.

What's weird is that as soon as I gave it to him, the dialog option disappeared again, and he wouldn't comment on my "magical aura" tablets, but who cares. I am satisfied. Delighted, actually. Thanks for the help! :)

I know this thread's from last month, but I had the same problem, but I confirmed what the problem is (at least for me.)

After you free the missing people from Jharkendar and tell Vatras, the option to give him stone tablets for whatever reason no longer appears.

So odds are if your problems aren't the ones listed above, this is the cause. Don't know of a fix unless you have a save before you told him, thankfully I did. And yes, I had 23 old stone tablets before and after, so it's not a problem with that as stated above in my case.
