Firstly, I finally got the controls of the First Gothic - yea. I even asked advice once here but could not figure it out.

Very happy to discover where it all started - finally. :-D

And then to those HI (Human Intelligence) to Game AI (Artificial Intelligence) triumphant moments:

- Gothic 1:

Just now after getting the missive from Xardas to find that exiled orc shaman, I ran unto four orc fighters on my way up to the Ruins of the East. To weaken them, so I could take all four of them at once, I ran back to a rather high cliff and jumped down. With Acrobatics, I came to maybe 40 HP out of 212 - but each four of my pursuers just jumped down to their deaths before my eyes.

I thought this is just one of the things to love about Gothic!!

What are your similar exploits cum moments? Pray share!!

Everybody can beat a troll with a wooden stick.
I guess the hard thing is to get to the black troll alive without gaining a level.
Your fingers must have hurt when you ran around it for so long.
Beating a troll in g1 was the one of the biggest endurence tests for my fingers I ever had.
I know that everyone can do this, but only if the one knows how to do it, otherwise he will die. Thats how intelligence plays out, if you find out how to do anything it starts to be really easy while if you dont it remains hard. The human can find such ways but the computer cant do it and thats the topic of this thread.
