Now, I realize Gothic 1, and probably Gothic 2, are DirectX8 games. I've been trying to get SweetFX working with them nonetheless, as I have configs for Thief, Deus Ex, and System Shock 2, all games from the time period, and I figured that, given Gothic's art direction, a SweetFX designed to enhance the isolation and the magical atmosphere would be welcome. I'm working with the 8->9 Direct X converter so far with no luck. More than Thief: Deadly Shadows, which crashes outright when using the converter, in that Gothic 1 runs, but it completely ignores the programs. Does anyone have any advice for me, for instance what folders to put the files in? If I figure it out I'll update this for the benefit of others who may want to see how SweetFX may compliment the game. Personally i find that it works with Thief Gold very well, bringing out the light and shadows, which is why I felt like trying.

I apologize for double posting and wasting anyone's time, seems after some research that this will be unlikely for some time, as Gothic is in fact DX7. Best bet is through DXGL and QEffects for the goal I'm perusing, but that will be some time, and I don't have the talent to obtain this for meself, I'm afraid.
