So I've enabled potion hotkeys, and spamming the H key has gotten me out of more than a few scrapes. However, I've noticed that lately, rather than drinking a potion, I receive damage: health goes down, blood spurt, cringe animation, grunt, everything. Also, the number of potions in my inventory remains unchanged.
I've figured 3 troubleshooting parameters that cropped up between the last successful hotkeying and the start of the damage, but am currently unable to test them (playing video-games at work is now considered a no-no)
1. I've put on an amulet that adds 40 HP (this one I did test, taking off and hotkeying a potion, but still taking damage)
2. Progressed from Chapter 1 to Chapter 2
3. Joined the Circle of Water.
Also: I've saved and reloaded, and the problem persists.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there some kind of plot-relevant curse I'm under? Will I open up the game today and find everything copacetic? Thanks in advance for any help.
