Hi i read the manual and it says that dexterity helps with accuracy and missile weapons. Im not sure what accuracy means and if it means melee weapons than that'd be good. Otherwise isnt their any other attributes to raise other than strength for swords? It feels like just raising strength doesnt make much sense. I would hope that dexterity might give a higher chance to hit.

Can anyone give any confirms on this?
Which game are you talking about?

In Gothic 1, Dexterity is enables you you use better bows, increasing their damage and helps you to hit your target - you can make more shots in the same time. The two skills (bows/crossbows I-II) are have the same function as dex, but they are more effective (and let you do more critical strikes).
Strength works the same way, just for melee weapons.

In Gothic 2, the basics are the same - using more advanced weapons, dealing more damage, but the skills are a little but different. The melee skills are for critical strikes, the rangeds are for hit %. The better the skill the better you become at hitting moving targets, targets at long range, etc.

In both games, str/dex increases the damage you don with melee/ranged weapons making using them more effective.

I can't tell you anyhing about Gothic 3/Fg simply because i don't have as much experience as in the forst two games.
