Gothic 1 Community Patch

Nearly two years ago, we developed the Gothic 1 Community Patch (G1CP). I would like to use this opportunity to showcase the patch as some of you may want to apply a bug fixing patch to the game without wanting to install a modification (mod) for that.

Before the G1CP, it was only possible to fix bugs in a mod. The downsides of that mechanism were that you could not play more than one mod at a time, meaning you could not apply bug fixes while playing another mod, and if the mod introduces new features along with those bug fixes, you would have them too, even if you did not want them.
The G1CP on the other hand is a patch that is language independent and can be applied any time to any base game or mod.

We aim to fix script bugs as objectively as possible. And even if you do not like a specific fix, you can disable it in the game's INI file.

You can download the patch on GitHub or via Spine (the Gothic mod manager).

Requirements:
- Playerkit 1.0k
- Ninja (this software enables script patches for Gothic and Gothic 2)

Further reading:
- Changelog
- To learn more about the G1CP, read the project's Readme on GitHub.
- Also, read the original release post in the World of Gothic forum.

I have Gothic 1 and 2 installed with the PK system pack etc. Will this work over those? Also the mod mgr. Will it pick up the Sys pk and stuff already installed?
Thanks

This patch is for Gothic 1 only and will not work with Gothic 2.

As for Spine, it will check your Gothic installation folder and pick up SystemPack as far as I know. If not, please contact the developer directly: https://clockwork-origins.com/spine/

Ninja won't install with my mods I guess. It tells me I have the wrong version of Gothic? I haven't tries spline or union yet. These are tools new to me!
Okay I installed Spline which let me do the other. I would recommend these on clean installs only. It screwed up my installs. But I got them working somewhat.Another problem is most descriptions are in German so useless to me. I'm glad to see these tools are being created though.
