hi all.
here on october 13th of 2009, I paid my 9.99 to download gothic 2.
But I could not download it! A line of code opens in a window, then all stops.
the GOG downloader will not work either!
so.
here is what to do *IF* this happens to anyone here.
do click on the "download from your browser"
you will get that line of code.
here it is.

[i shortened it, here, in the middle.]
remove the front part of it untill the line begins with
http..........
now, copy this into your browser bar code line, where the "http//www.... goes, at the top of your browser.
press enter and then download.
almost there.
download this to a folder on C drive. any folder that you create there. make one just for this file to go to.
download it.
now in the folder, after downloading, there it will be, all of 1.9 gigs.
but there is no ".exe" at the end and will not install!
so.
change the name of the file so that you add
.exe
at the end of the install file name.
*now* you can install it!!

This seems to be the case with all games, at least on my end. I'm thinking this might have something to do with the server maintenance that happened today?
