I have an issue with the screen resolution on Gothic 1.
By default, it's an 640x480x16 and I want it 1024x768x32. I can change it in the settings but it don't persist when I quit the sittings menu and always back to the default resolution.
So how to save the change ? Other options can be change without problems.
Thanks and sorry for my english, it's not my mother tongue.

It may be a bug but not necessarily. When you are in the setting, press enter (when you have the resolution settings highlighted).
Exiting by pressing ESC or back option will not safe the changes. You have to "apply" it first in the way I described.
Edit: If you can set and use the resolution, but it reverts to default settings after restarting, then you can try the solution mentioned in the first post of this thread:
http://www.gog.com/en/forum/gothic_series/notes_on_widescreen_resolution
It explains what to do to prevent it from happening.

Please explain exactly what the problem is: can you actually change the resolution (does your monitor change it in the menu when you press enter)?
Yes, it works the way you described !
Other options applied with just exit, but not the resolution which need the enter pressing ...
I am sorry to have disturb you for a so little thing and thanks again.
