EDIT: Forgot to mention in the title again! This is for GOTHIC 2!
I met up with Grimbald, a guy outside the Black Troll's lair, who prompts you to assist him in hunting 3 snappers before he will talk about anything else.
Now first of all I have to mention beforehand that I unintentionally aggroed one of the snappers when I was moving around to get the Sun Aloe from the Black Troll poop for Sagitta. I dived off the cliff into the water to avoid it but it followed me! I killed it when we reached shore... so not sure if that affects the outcome here... moving on.
If I refuse to hunt with him he calls me a coward and charges 200 gold for hunting instruction.
If I agree to assist him and successfully kill ONE snapper he says I wasn't much help.
I reloaded (because I wanted to see what happens if I do better) and he bugs out and sits there with his bow out but doesn't attack them and I kill both this time... and he STILL says I wasn't much help!
So my guess is that either he is always an irascible douche of a hunter or you have to kill at least 2 of them and not reload (seems like reloading bugs some things out sometimes).
I could find barely any mention of his existence, and almost all info was in German!
Does anyone else know about this guy or know how to make him congratulate you for killing Snappers?
Oh, P.S. I am very unlikely to score two kills while he's actively attacking the remaining 2 Snappers, because he does a nice chunk of damage to their health.
