So I have played Gothic II many times on many systems and for the life of me I cannot find a solution to this graphics issue. Attached are some examples on the Land Owners farm area, but I have experienced the glitch near the city of Khorinis as well as the lighthouse and the Old camp in the Valley of mines. There are other places as well that this occurs.
I have tried everything from Vanilla install to IC updates and latest community patch, but nothing seems to fix it. In addition (and if I missed it I apologize) I have search forum after forum to find anything related to this, but the only real graphics issue I find is about shuttering or slowdowns.
Basically I step into a "Zone" and the background just goes all low res, like I'm running at 50% draw distance. I have also used the zhighqualityrender MARVIN command and it still shows ZERO background. If I step out of the "Zone" it all reappears as if nothing was wrong. I run an Intel i5 with an Nvidia GTX 460 (2 gig), 8 GIG of RAM. Usually I'm pretty savvy with moding and troubleshooting (Got the original Gothic working top notch) but this just baffles me to no end and it breaks the immersion for me at this point.
If anyone has experienced this or has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.
Sincerely,
a guy who just wants to wonder the world of Gothic again...
(sorry for the crappy shots, had to use the cell phone...)
