So, purchased Gothic II, downloaded and installed it. First time, it won't even start. I download the most recent Ironkeep patch, try to play it, get as far as the menu and it crashes. Repeatedly. Gives me German error messages (!)
Uninstall.
Try again, reinstall and play minus the Ironkeep patch. Get black screens with sound instead of opening movies, but manage to get the menu. I'm able to change the resolution and start the game fine. I go upstairs in the opening tower, the screen goes black and the sound keeps playing. After about 30 seconds of this, I get a huge error box crop up, something about a read violation.
Any help to play this game would be much appreciated.
