Okay, it's been happening for a little while now and I'm trying to figure out what is causing this...

Before, when I attacked an NPC other NPCs would attack me for doing so...

Now, when I attack an NPC, the NPCs that would normally attack me INSTEAD attack the person I attacked! And then they kill them!

What in Khorinis is going on!?

Is it because I'm a Fire Magician?

Yes; let me show you this on an example. Model situation: you've attacked Cipher, the mercenary.

If you're non-SLD/DJG - everybody attacks you.
If you're SLD - noone messes into the fight. It's a fair fight, 1vs1.
If you're DJG - everybody attacks Cipher.
