Hello,

I have a problem with Gothic 2, every few seconds (~5) there is a flickering on the top right of the game screen. It's a small rectangle and it is usually white-ish bright, and it only shows up for a split-second.
If I am in the starting game menu the flickering is still in the same position but dark/black.
I got Gothic 1 from this site as well and did not have this problem there.
My monitor has a resolution of 1920x1080.
I play the game on 1600x1024x32 with a nvidia graphics card, the problem appears if I play it in the true 1600x1024 (meaning the actual game is surrounded by black) as well as in stretched mode with same aspect ratio.
Changing the video settings in-game with another resolution doesn't solve the problem either.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this? As said, I used the exact same settings in Gothic 1 and didn't have this problem there.

Thanks for your time and help,

Do you have any programs running that could be giving you some sort of error message? Just a guess but this sort of thing happened to me on some games (but not others). In my case, I had unplugged the satellite modem and a program that detected it being disconnected put out an error message to tell me this causing a flickering like you described. I just collapsed the game to windows, clicked on the "x" on the error5 message, then expanded back to the game.
Ha thanks a lot now it works!

I had all programs closed anyway, even checked through the task manager to make sure nothing was open, but apparently a small thing you can choose in the options which shows the processor and how much % are used to work etc. was causing the problem, I just closed it and now everything is fine.
