Greetings:
I'm concidering purchasing Gothic 2. I want to for my Acer Aspire netbook. Does anyone know if it will run on a netbook? Thanks!
It'll be a gamble. While it does okay on my little MSI U123 (and GMABooster may help), I have seen and heard of it flatly refusing to run on certain machines with no message, no log, no helpful info at all.
(This being an RPG, my feeling is that some critical subsystem is little more than a copy-paste from someone's failed Computer Science 101 project...but that's another thread.)
It wont run very long on my system, aspire 5739g geforce gt 130m and vista 32. The game starts up plays a little then crashes the whole pc with a black screen. I have to restart the machine as nothing responds. IMO dont risk it.
Lenovo S10e runs it... Graphic settings should be at medium-low, though, view distance ~100%, less at detailed places like the city.
EDIT: Annoying drawback is that the S10e's native resolution of 1024x576 is not supported through the menu, only if manually inserted into the ini file. It works but has to be redone before every game launch.

It runs on my Eee PC but I wouldn't say it's a smooth experience
