Until I had seen a certain Gothic 2 video I had been under the impression that you CAN'T drop items (outside of containers).

But then I saw them do it anyway.

How do you do this? I didn't see a drop item option in key bindings.

Select the item in the inventory and press Alt button :)

Or RMB, if you use the mouse. But yeah. In G1+G2, dropping items is possible. But in G3, it isn't.

Not sure if you're referring to a mouse-only mode but RMB just seems to be the generic cancel button for me.

Hm, are you using G2 or G1 controls? Anyway, I always play G1 controls, WSAD+mouse style.

Using G2 atm. I could swear RMB still just closed my inventory when I was using G1.

Yes, in G1, it was action key (CTRL/LMB) + arrow down (S). But in G2 with G1 controls and mouse, it's just RMB.
