Hi,
I need help with gothic 2 NotR on my PC. When I want to run it - the loading screen appears and then the PC freezes and I have to force off the game by task manager. I've already tried reinstalling it couple times, once the game was working for like 10 minutes and thet it freezed again... I do not know what else could I do, maybe someone had this problem before and could tell me his solution?

You have t given any information. Some general tips though:
Never install to program files or x86, create your own folder c:/mygames and install there.
Enable direct play.
If you have galaxy, close it down completely and run from the installed exe.
Use the offline downloader to install the game, galaxy installers sometimes don’t install all needed components.
Finally, you can use support.

Same problem here. I installed it, then game says it is installing virtual disk, then game kicks off and I end up with two black windows, a smaller one in the upper left corner and I suppose one underneath it. Task manager tells me the game is non-responsive.

Every time I restart the game from Galaxy I go through the same process, over and over again.

Try opening the gothic.ini file (with Notepad) and change zVidResFullscreenBPP=16 to zVidResFullscreenBPP=32. With this I am now able to run Gothic 2, however there is now a white border that cannot be removed. There are some full screen mods to fix this, but they do not work for me. They might work for you, however. Best of luck. Hopefully one day I, too, will be able to replay this game.

Just check out the PCGW page for the game and install all mods listed under Essential Improvements section. That's probably the best shot youve got.
