I went to play Gothic 2, but whenever a cutscene plays there is just a black screen with the sound.
Any idea what could be causing this?

Using a vista 32-bit computer with an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS graphics card. I tried running it as admin and running it in XP compatibility mode, but that didn't help.

Haven't ran into this problem with any other game.

Edit: I also tried messing with various video options in the game, but still running into the problem.

Disabling video scaling got it working. Is there a fix that wont change the size though? If not guess that'll have to do.

Setting antialising to "application-controlled" in your video card's control panel may work but it's not a guaranteed fix.

Fortunately there are only a few videos; most cutscenes are in-engine and so aren't affected by this problem.

I have a problem with gothic 2 gold. I finished chapter 4 ( killed the dragons, talked to Garond and did all the stuff in valley of mines) but when i want to return to khorinis the cutsceene that should start chapter 5 ( i think its something with and orc atack) doesnt play and the game crashes to desktop and all that i can do is check for a sollution online and close the program.

Pls if some1 knows how to fix this help me out as i realy want to finish the game.
