In all menus, I cannot see mouse cursor (but can click on menu items, with a little practice). Also every video except for the first intro movie after starting a New Game is blank, I can hear only sound.
Any ideas how to solve this?
I've got win Vista x64, latest ffdshow codecs (CCCP codec pack), latest nvidia drivers...

Have you tryed running it under different compatibility modes?
Also disabling anti aliasing is meant to fix the videos, not sure if that would fix your menu problem or not though.
It appears the mouse cursor not showing up in the menu is actually intentional, you can use the keyboard or mouse wheel to cycle through the options and select them.

Actually, Nvidia just released new drivers for your card on January 22, 2009.

i found a workaround for the blank videos problem.
edit the gothic.ini file in the gothic 2 system directory.
alter the value in the scalevideos option to 0
eg. scalevideos = 0

There are no menu cursors :) You use the arrows or 'wsad' to navigate the menus.
custardcream: This really works! Shame that all videos are pretty small now, but it doesn't really bothers me :-)
Thanks everyone.

I had that problem, came here, did that, fixed it., thanks!
Yeah this game seems to not use a mouse pointer.. I guess that even though this game came out, what, in 2003? the developers wanted to give it a nice 1991-ish flavor to it. :p
Taking some real getting used to, since I played Gothic 3 first.
