I´m in chapter 2, in the new mine, and Ian asked me to recover a cogwheel to repair a machine. Thing is that once I recover the cogwheel, I find myself in a pit with two buggy ladders to exit from it, and once I reach the top of the ladders I always fall.
The places where the character grabs the steps of the ladder are wrong (different from the image of the ladder), and reaches the top of it before reaching the real top, and without any real ground bellow its feets, the character falls.

The character is standing just in front of the buggy ladders.

There´re a number of ladders all over the world where this happens, but this is the first time that happened with a ladder that must be climbed.

I´m desperate, I´ve even downloaded & installed the game again to no result.
I play in an unmodified GOG version.

You're lucky, i playing Gothic so i can solve it for you - here is the altered save:

The trick was that you have to go backward, climb up to the plank/wooden floors and from there you can jump to the tunnel which is top of the ladders.
I did this and at the moment you in the tunnel, ready to go to Ian.
Oh, EDIT: don't forget to rename the folder - you can call it the original name, too, but in that case make a safety cope of the original - i don't want to mess up your game, but it can happen sometimes.
