Hi,

I have a problem with the german version of Gothic 1. I installed the following:

- Gothic 1 (German)
- Player Kit
- System Pack (German Version)

I have encountered a weird problem. Everything in the Game is german (audio, subtitles, menues) except the following:
- Dialogue Options
- Inventory and Item names
- Journal

I looked for options in the Ini files but couldn't find any options. Is there any way to fix this? I'd like to have the german version for all texts. Has somebody encountered the same bug?

I found the solution to the problem.

I had the Inextremo.vdf mod installed to include the classic music by In Extremo. Copying the file into the data folder causes the language switch. Don't know if there is a fix for it.

I know that the German version of Gothic has already the performance of In Extremo.
That file was made because other versions of the game, like the English, the Italian ..., don't include that performance ingame. So the file Inextremo.vdf should be useless in your case.

Not exactly. In Extremo has been missing in all re-releases, even German, for ages. GOG is no exception.
