I'm about 3 hours into the game and following Mordrag to the new camp. I just learned how to take furs and take claws from the hunter guy (Aidan) you meet on the way there, but I don't know how to use those skills. I'm doing the ctrl-up for use in front of a dead wolf (which I would expect has fur...) but my guy just shrugs.

How do I actually use the skills I've learned?

Such a fun game, but the controls couldn't hurt to be a little more streamlined.

After learning the skill each monster with fitting bodyparts has them additionally in their inventory after being killed. This only applies for monster killed AFTER learning the skill.

Have fun with this great classic :)

Ah, that's what it is. I lured another wolf down for Mordrag to kill and was able to get the pelt from it. What was confusing me is that it only works on fresh kills after you get the skill.
