Hello all,
I've been on a bit of a self-imposed quest to add English subtitles to the German language FMVs that have dialogue.
I have my subtitles transcribed. I have them timed up to the video. I have them hard burned in.
However, when I replace the files in game I get video and no audio whatsoever. The audio plays fine when played outside of the game, but when the game itself loads the video it just plays no sound.
I'm at a complete loss. I can't seem to find anything other than an ancient World of Gothic topic where another user had the same issue, but the resolution was never posted there. I've tried changing the audio compression settings. I've tried converting the video with no audio, ripping the original audio from the original .bik and mixing that into the muted video.
I know this is a long shot, but if anyone has any experience with converting a .bik to .mp4 back to .bik and knows what is going on, I'd never be able to thank you enough.
