I have the same problem that others have had. When I launch the game, they are in processes of the task manager, but nothing happens. I found a temporary fix: open the program twice, then go into Task Manager and kill the 'rundll32.exe' process. This kills rundll32.exe and one of the GOTHIC/Gothic2 exe files, allowing the other one to run. Is there a better fix?

If you are using a nvidia card have you downloaded the latest drivers? Its only with some of the more recent drivers that these games will run.

rundll32.exe has nothing to do with my (ati) video card. I have the same problem on my vista 32 system with the original games. I am using a batch file to get around it, but that doesn't fix the problem.

Okay, now I only need to stop rundll32.exe sometimes to get it to run.
Some help on this would be nice.
