Hello everyone,

I know that there are multiple topics about the mouse sensitivity, but after trying a bunch of those solutions I still have a problem with that. Let me explain:

I have a Logitech G600 mouse and here are the things I tried to fix the sensitivity in both Gothic games:
1. Changing the sensitivity in the Windows Settings
2. Changing the sensitivity in the gothic.ini files
3. Changing the sensitivity in the in-game options
4. Changing the sensitivity on the mouse itself
5. Changing both Gothic.exe and Gothic2.exe the "Disable image scaling at high resolutions screen"
6. Running both games as an administrator
7. Switching the USB slots
8. Many more (I honestly have lost count of the things i tried)

The mouse (in-game) would still move like a snail -.-

BUT ...

I made the following discovery:
I also have a Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3100 and a wireless Cherry MW 2310 2.0. When I use one of those (even on standard setting all accross the board) the sensitivity skyrockets to the point where the nameless hero turns faster then a wild boar on adrenaline running through the forest at which point I just have to lower the sensitivity.

Now knowing all of that which I described above here are the questions that come to mind: do the Gothic Games run normally on wireless devices? Are there specific non-wireless devices on which the Gothic Games do work?

I would be thankfull for any advice or ideas you have, because I used all of mine :(
Many thanks in advance
The Problem is related to the mouses polling rate. PS/2 mice used to have a polling rate of 100 Hz and the game is hardcoded to expect that. Your Logitech mouse should default to 500 Hz, which results in 1/5 camera movement speed. You could create a profile that sets the polling rate to 125 Hz (lowest setting available) and raise the sensitivity a bit.
OMG, MAY GOD BLESS YOU, IT WORKED

And what is more, when I lowered it to 125 as you said, I had to even LOWER the sensibility for whatever reason.
All in all it works :)

BUT ... I also made a strange discovery, when I maxed out the mouse to 8200 DPI and leave the polling rate at 1000Hz it also fixes the problem oO (I have to admit I didn't thought about such a solution)

Once again, many thanks :)
