Would you guys recommend playing this game in German? Since the game was developed by a German developer I thought the German voice acting might be pretty good, for once :D

If you understand German, then I would of course recommend to play it in German (but I dont know the other ones). If you dont understand German, why do you ask at all? I think it is better to understand anything in an inferior voice acting than nothing in a superior voice acting.

But I often have heard that the English voice acting of this game is bad (I cant verify or deny it, because I dont know it). Others are maybe better, especially the Polish one should be also good, as far as I remember the talk about it.

I do understand German - and even if not, maybe some people prefer the orignal voice acting and can watch it with subtitles ;)

But yeah, just wanted to see what others think of the German VA, so I can know which installer to download :D

I don't speak German but I can say the corny accents used in the English versions, especially in G-I, are distracting and reduces immersion. Original is in general better.

You are talking about the community patches of gothic 3? Yes, of course!

The Gothic series (at least the first two games) was developed by a German developer, as mentioned already, and the voice acting is superb. The English version, which I have played for various reasons, is just really bad. It lacks atmosphere and quality, quite disappointing.
Most of these patches and modifications were actually developed by German fans.
World of Gothic is their home, you will find everything there.

Well, the English version uses actors who do broad regional accents, mostly American. This can be jarring but if you have an American ear, it can be amusing as well. I like it, for one.
