I'd have liked them to have buffed archery damage (it feels absolutely useless as a primary combat style on medium and hard difficulties, even with 400+ hunting and sharp arrows, all the talents and the strongest bow) or at least have the draw speed reduced with those perks) and would've really liked to see the limit of engaging enemies kept at one throughout difficulties, relying on improved ai and enemy statistics to increase the challenge.
With two engaging enemies, one or both can decide to disengage even in the middle of an attack, so all this is really a mess when it comes to the endgame situations. Massive hordes of enemies with krush tarachs, sometimes four or six of them attacking at one time due to the disengaging, with archers and perfect-aim mages going at you at the same time; It's ridiculous. Change these two things and perhaps it'll be greatly playable compared to its current state. All play styles will work on each and every difficulty, whereas beforehand I believe only mage was playable on any difficulty besides easy.
See, on easy, melee became too easy due to the lowered enemy health and their dumb ai. If those were improved on medium and hard, yet the engaging melee combatants was only set to one, it'd be a lot more fun. Hard mode would be playable and challenging as a melee class. (Considering that nobody should play without the alternate ai) Currently, rather than easy, medium and hard, we've got easy, frustratingly difficult unless you're a mage and you-may-as-well-not-bother-mortal.
I never thought there'd be a 1.75 but now I'm disappointed. :(
