Hi! So as the title suggests I'm having a bit of a problem with Gothic.

I have installed the patches and texture packs suggested by mmarci on the sticky post, started the game through the starter.exe outside of gog and admin privilege. The game runs fine for a while but after maybe 30 min or an hour the game freezes and alt tabs me out (Sometimes in the middle of combat) which as you can imagine is very irritating, sometimes it even crashes my pc. I have reinstalled the game several times to no avail. Any suggestions?

I don't know the soluton but this has also happened to me numorus times with games of this age inclduing Gothic series(1 and 2) Black Mirror and so forth.
if you run any 3rd party Internest security like Avast or Superantispyware or Malwarebytes(Premium) this can happen alot. It may not be a virus or malware at all, but I would try and check your PC out with malwarebytes volunteer support just to be sure. then maybe remove programs running in the background, especially security or disk utlities. I do not use ccleaner-auto monitor, but if you do turn off anyting that "monitors" your PC these things are crap at best.
