I've enjoyed playing gothic 3 off and on for a while. One thing that bothered me and made the game much harder was that is stutter quite a bit in the frame rates. I've tried many things, bat file updates, graphics being reduced, and yet, it always still stuttered. I finally installed it on my SSD drive and for the first time I almost never stutters other than 1 frame here or there. From what I understand is that is loads the graphics on the fly from the hard drive. Obviously the hard drive has never quite kept up with its demands thus the stuttering. Finally, a smooth performance from Gothic 3.
