So I was tweaking with Gothic and thought by moving my saves folder to my desktop that the saves wouldn't be removed when I uninstalled then reinstalled the game. But when I uninstalled it, the saves folder on my desktop vanished too! Never making that mistake again...

Anyway, I was quite far into Gothic. Many hours into it in fact. I was close to finishing Chapter 3 with only 1 more focus stone to find. Which is why I'm wondering if anyone kept a save file of their character during Chapter 3. I'm not fussed about how the character is specced but ideally I'd like to be able to pick up the story from where I left it.

Failing that, if anyone has a save file just before they joined the camps, I would be more than pleased with that too.

Don't make my mistake! Make a copy of your saves file!

I've got quite a few saves backed-up. I tried to label them for my own purposes and kept them spaced out at about each new location I visited and before making an important branching decision like choosing which side to join. There's quite a few for you to choose from per your preference. Since I don't remember which saves are what, I've uploaded all of them up to the end of the game. They ought to be in chronological order and hopefully the labeling is intuitive enough. I hope this works:

Only word of warning I can give you off the top of my head is, avoid Mud, since I deliberately avoided encountering him during the game and so if you get too close there's still the chance he'll pull you into conversation with him. After a certain chapter, I don't believe it's a problem anymore. :-)

This is perfect! Thank you so much :D

There are a few minor differences (I was going deep into strength for my rusty two-handed sword so I don't know much about the archery in the game) but other than that it's just like my previous save! So now I can pick up from where I left off in my hunt for the focus stones. THANK YOU!
No problem!
