ekj7: Gothic 3 is still priced high? I picked up the Gothic Universe collection on retail disc last year for $10, which why I'd be surprised if an individual game from the series would be more than that.

To be more specific, Steam is offering Gothic 3 for 8 bucks, today. I'd much rather wait and purchase the same game here on GoG, however. Even at the $9.99 price point, getting Gothic 3 from GoG woudl be a better deal.
On a slightly different note, I'd much rather have Risen (the spiritual successor to the Gothic series) on GoG than Gothic 3.

I've been playing Gothic 3 for the past few weeks with the latest community patch (1.74) and it's a great game. Still some bad lag when it's loading new areas, but it looks fantastic and it's been a bug-free experience so far.
The only issues I have with the game are the imbalance that still exists with combat vs wolves and the repetition with quests in each city. There's always a round of arena fights, someone wants X number of a particular type of item, some slaves have to be recaptured, etc. For the first few cities, it's ok. But once you're in the 12th city or so, it gets monotonous.
