i cliked it to put to cart, and ALMOST checked out, then, at the corner of my eye i saw that it only said XP/VISTA, is this confirmed? or will it work with 7 (64 ultimate)?

EDIT: the first game

The first Gothic works perfectly for me on Windows 7 64-bit (and Windows 8/8.1 too).

The compatibility on the store page isn't an absolute yes/no; most games work fine either way.

A few players have had problems launching the games but the cause seems to be due to specifics of the system (in some cases it was Google Chrome running in the background) rather than something generally experienced with that version of Windows in general. I haven't had such problems playing either game on Windows XP, 7, 8 or 8.1.
ok, thank you, i'm going to download it now, if it works; i will mark as solution

thank you

sorry to reply in full but when i try to shorten it the *timer circle* freezes:

any way, the game works fine... i have looked at the keyboard controls etc, but my problem now is that when i press *left-ctrl* to pick up the torche at the start, nothing happens (he doesn't pick it up) i have tried every keyboard button (1-0/A-z/tab, caps, shit and so on) but nothing works... i can however walk, jump use the mouse etc... EVERY thing is working appart from *pick this stupid thing up* button ???

EDIT: i found out myself that to pick things up its CTRL+ UP, not CTRL on its own (the manual says different from in game)

Yes, actions are Ctrl (or left click or whatever) plus a direction. Similarly, for trading with NPCs it's action plus left/right.

If you have a gaming keyboard, I strongly recommend that you combine those two stroke actions into a single key stroke- makes it so much easier!

This can also be done with AutoHotkey (although I never bothered making a script for this).
