I just got done with the first town and landed on the island with Diego where it was raining for the first time and the rain causes my entire screen to go white thick rain lines covering the entire screen and barely able to make out silhouettes of npc's like diego. This was supposed to be fixed by the hotfix #1 I read but I'm still getting the problem and I've installed all 4 patches.

I have a Nvidia 8800 GT card which runs the game at around 20-30 fps on max settings but has that one glitch which ruins the entire game and makes it unplayable without using the workaround to make the rain stop every time it starts. I really want the rain effect as well though. Anyone know the fix for this that isn't the patches that don't fix this problem for me?

I don't have the GoG version yet and wanted to know if this has been fixed in this version?

(Edit) The Arcania GoG version has fixed this issue for me. Back to the game!
